    Image_-_city_centre_public_art_-_cloud_arch__by_junya_ishigami

Three new artworks will transform the city centre as part of the City of Sydney’s $220 million contribution to the State Government’s light rail project. The artworks are the first three projects of the City’s $9.3 million city centre public art plan.

The artworks were chosen by an evaluation panel made up of members of the City’s Public Art Advisory Panel, the City’s Design Director and the City Centre Curatorial Advisor, following the City of Sydney’s biggest-ever international public art callout, which attracted nearly 700 entries from 25 countries.

The City believes that good public art encourages vigorous community debate involving a variety of views and interpretations. We are inviting you to join the discussion, voice your opinion and learn more about the artworks.

Share your ideas in our discussion forums.
