Community consultation at the City of Sydney

The City of Sydney is developing its first Cultural Policy and we want to hear from you. We have launched our Creative City Cultural Policy Discussion Paper  and invite you to make a submission, participate in our online forums, send us a tweet (#creativecitysyd) and be part of the conversation around what kind of creative life you want for Sydney.

The draft Neighbourhood Parking Policy review proposes a number of changes to parking rules in the City of Sydney.  It does not include parking in the CBD.  The draft policy is now on exhibition until 5 July 2013.

The draft policy aims to provide a simpler, more consistent and user friendly set of parking guidelines. For more information visit the City's On Exhibition page.

Are you interested in our environment? Would you like to join the Cooks River Alliance Board of management? You do not need any special skills or experience, just an interest in the Cooks River and a passion for making a difference!

The Alliance is now calling for expressions of interest for Community Representatives who will have a say on the direction of the Cooks River Alliance, and provide unique local resident perspectives.

The Community Representatives will help councillors govern the Cooks River Alliance, and make sure local issues are on the table.  Applications close Friday 31 May 2013.

The City of Sydney is producing its corporate plans to meet the Integrated Planning and Reporting requirements set by the NSW Government. You can have your say on the draft plans, including the Community Strategic Plan, the Corporate Plan, the Operational Plan and the Resourcing Strategy before they are adopted. Submissions close at 5pm on 12 June 2013.

Please join us and the Lord Mayor this Wednesday at a consultation for the concept plans of Thomas Street upgrade in Chinatown. The consultation will be held between 4pm and 7pm on Wednesday 8 May at Dickson Room, Level 1, Holiday Inn Darling Harbour, 68 Harbour Street, Sydney.

The City of Sydney is seeking community feedback on a proposal from local residents to formalise existing community gardening at 54-56 Erskineville Road, Erskineville, into an approved community garden.

The City property is between residential dwellings and is now being maintained by volunteers from the Erskineville Community Garden group.
