Sydney Water Woolloomooloo Wastewater Stormwater Separation Project

Consultation has concluded

Sydney Water are planning to separate the currently combined wastewater and stormwater systems in Woolollomooloo. In the current system, wastewater from homes, businesses and industry is combined with stormwater in a single pipe.

This will help improve environmental impacts by reducing the number of wet weather overflows to Woolloomooloo Bay.

Work is planned to start in early 2017 subject to planning and funding approvals.

Sydney Water has assessed the effects in a Review of Environmental Factors (REF)

The REF is on public display for comment from Monday 11 April to Monday 9 May 2016. Sydney Water invites written submissions on any aspect of the REF.
