A successful community meeting took place on 1 December to discuss the proposal for a new childcare centre at 277 Bourke Street, Darlinghurst. The creative design solution gained strong support from the community. The innovative design keeps Berwick Lane open to pedestrians by linking the childcare centre to the playground via a raised walkway. A raised deck area provides a sunlit outdoor playspace among existing trees with a ramp down to a lower playground. A roof top play area for babies is also part of the design. You can view the new design solution here.read more
