Renwick Street Playground

The City of Sydney will soon upgrade Renwick Street Playground at 42-46 Renwick Street, Alexandria.

The proposed upgrade works for Renwick Street Playground include:

· New children’s playground equipment;

· New paths;

· New and refurbished furniture; and

· New shrubs and plants.

This park upgrade is part of a program to provide a diverse range of play opportunities and improve the green open spaces in our city for everyone.

    Renwick Street playground launch

    Come along to the official opening of Renwick Street Playground in Alexandria. Lord Mayor Clover Moore will officially launch the upgraded green space at midday on Saturday 5 November 2016.

    There will be free entertainment and refreshments.

    This park has been improved for everyone to enjoy and is the latest project in the City’s small parks renewal program.

    The fun new playground has speaking tubes, a wind sculpture, swing, climbing structure, slide and balancing sculpture.

    We’ve also added new paths, a water bubbler, more seating and plants.

    Thank you for your feedback on the proposed Renwick Street Playground Upgrade in August/September this year.

    City staff have incorporated your feedback into their report on the proposed playground upgrade which will be considered by the City of Sydney Council’s Environment Committee at its next meeting on Monday 19 October.

    You are welcome to attend the Environment Committee meeting which will start at 2pm in the Council Chamber of the Town Hall.
