Planning Controls for Millers Point

The City of Sydney has sought feedback on changes to the planning controls for properties in the Millers Point heritage conservation area. These changes will better protect the local and state heritage significance of Millers Point.

The proposal sets the existing building height and floor space as the maximum and allows additions subject to a conservation plan and assessment of heritage impacts. The development potential of buildings that are not heritage items will be retained.

Public exhibition of these changes closed on Tuesday 7 March 2017.

We will consider all submissions and report the results to Council and the Central Sydney Planning Committee. If supported by Council, the proposal will be send to the Greater Sydney Commission for final approval.
