Hyde Park Plan of Management and Master Plan amendment

Consultation has concluded

The Anzac Memorial Centenary Project project will complete the water cascade shown in Dellit’s original drawings from the Memorial building south to Liverpool Street. It also includes a new underground Hall of Service and education and interpretation spaces to cater for a growing audience keen to learn about the Anzac legacy and Australia’s history. A new accessible entry into the park and Memorial will be created from Liverpool Street.

The City has prepared an amendment to the Hyde Park Plan of Management and Master Plan to include this Anzac Memorial Centenary Project. The plan of management and master plan guide the design and restoration of original features in the park and assist the City in maintaining the park for the community. The Government Architects Office has also prepared a Review of Environmental Factors (REF) and development application for the works.

The amendment and review are on exhibition until 3 November 2015 and we invite your feedback. The development application for the works is also on public exhibition.

Printed copies of the Plan of Management amendment are also available at all five of the City’s Neighborhood Service Centres.

We invite you to read the Plan of Management and Master Plan amendment and the REF and have your say below. Your feedback will inform the final amendment submitted to council later this year.
