Lawns, fields and places to play

Thanks to everyone who had their say on the designs for two new parks coming to Green Square.

Over the last few months we have asked for your feedback on a new pocket park at 904 Bourke Street, Zetland, and a much bigger space at Garraway Park in Rosebery.

It was great to speak with lots of residents at the Have Your Say day, and we received lots of interest on our consultation hub, SydneyYourSay.com.au

People loved the central lawn, fig tree lookout, zig zag pathway and use of native species in the Bourke Street Design.

For Garraway Park, at more 8,000 sq metres, people were very excited about a new kick about area, sports field and play equipment. A circulation path and children’s bicycle loop was another popular part of the design.

All of the feedback received will be considered by the City and will inform the next stage of design development.

We’ve had lots of feedback about places to play sport, and skate, which is also being considered as part of our park design and future planning for the area.

We’ll keep you posted on the progress of these parks, which will be constructed as part of Voluntary Planning Agreements with private developments.
