    Artist's impression of the park

A residential development is underway at 26-56 Rothschild Ave, Rosebery on the former site of the Sweetacres confectionery factory. This factory made the classic Australian sweets Fantales, Minties and Jaffas.

The development includes a new street connecting Rothschild and Mentmore avenues, and a new 5000 sq m park and playground.

We are proposing to name the new street 'Sweet Street' and the park 'Sweetacres Park' to reflect the site's industrial heritage.

You can comment on the proposed names before 4 August 2014.
