Energy Efficiency Master Plan Draft

Consultation has concluded

The City has developed the draft Energy Efficiency Master Plan to help reduce energy use in buildings and decrease our emissions by 33% by 2030, compared to 2006 levels.

These reductions will also save our residents and businesses over $600 million in energy bills.

The draft master plan was developed via rigorous technical investigation and extensive stakeholder consultation to determine the energy usage and potential savings for each kind of building within the LGA.

We would like to thank everyone who gave us their thoughts and comments on the draft Energy Efficiency Master Plan during the public exhibition. We have considered feedback alongside technical information and project objectives in refining the plan.

The refined plan will be considered by the Environment Committee of Council today, and we will be seeking Council endorsement on 10 August 2015. We invite you to view the refined plan, consultation and Council reports here http://goo.gl/aRpVpu (please scroll to Item 6).
