We invite submissions on the Draft Sydney Development Control Plan (Signs & Advertisements) 2015.

The draft Development Control Plan proposes changes to the planning controls in Section 3.16 of the Sydney Development Control Plan 2012.

It sets out controls for high-quality signs and advertisements to best address the promotional needs of the city’s businesses.

The plan includes new controls for electronic billboards and electronic, digital-business and special-promotion signs.

It also includes revised controls for building and business identification signs, including top-of-building signs, wall signs, under-awning signs and window signs.

There are also changes to the existing boundaries of the city’s signage precincts and proposed new precincts.

After this exhibition, the City will consider all submissions received and report the outcomes to Council. If Council approves this draft plan it can amend the Sydney Development Control Plan 2012.
