Upgrading the Juanita Neilsen Community Centre, Woolloomoolloo

We are plannning to improve the Juanita Neilsen Community Centre in Woolloomoolloo to provide a better recreation centre for the whole community. We are working to preserve the character of the building, provide outdoor community space and space for a range of community programs for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who come along to the open day at the Juanita Neilsen Community Centre on the 9 February to see the designs. These are now available online for you to view, click here.

Our designs include:

• New recreation space with more community programs and activities for people of all ages;
• New gymnasium, art room, Wi-Fi lounge, demonstration kitchen and more community spaces for hire;
• Outdoor community space and outdoor play space in Mclean Street for the existing Outside of School Hours Child Care Service;
• Improving environmental sustainability; and
• Outdoor barbeque facilities and streetscape improvements to Nicholson, Maclean, Wilson and Dowling.
