Pyrmont sites - rezoning

The City of Sydney invites your feedback on a proposal to rezone sites in Pyrmont. The proposal ensures the zoning for these sites is consistent with the current uses and protects open space for the local community to enjoy.

The City is proposing to rezone the following from 'mixed use’ to ‘general residential’:

  • 1 Distillery Drive
  • 15 Bowman Street
  • 25 Bowman Street
  • 35 Bowman Street
  • 5 Tambua Street
  • 66 Bowman Street

We also propose to rezone the following from ‘mixed use’ to ‘public recreation’:

  • 11 Bowman Street
  • 1A Distillery Drive
  • 3 Distillery Drive

The proposed rezoning is described in the planning proposal to amend the Sydney Local Environment Plan 2012.

Once the public exhibition ends, the City will consider all submissions received and will report the outcomes of the exhibition to Council and the Central Sydney Planning Committee. If Council approves this planning proposal, it can amend the Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2012 on behalf of the Greater Sydney Commission.
