Welcome to Phase 3 of Consultation for the Master Plan for the Johnstons Creek Parklands

The exhibition period for the draft Master Plan for Johnstons Creek Parklands has now closed. We thank everyone who had their say on this important local project.

We will be looking at all your feedback, alongside technical and feasibility considerations as we refine the draft Master Plan. Once we have made our changes we will present the Master Plan to Council for endorsement.

Have your say on Barangaroo

The Barangaroo Delivery Authority is consulting with the public to inform the master planning of Central Barangaroo.  The consultation commenced on 16 April with a public workshop and is continuing with a four week, interactive, on-line conversation. Visit the Barangaroo website to provide input and help shape the future character and experience of Central Barangaroo.

Broadway Link Streetscape Upgrade

Three Community Drop-in Sessions will be held on Tuesday 30 April at Pine Street Creative Arts Centre 64 Pine St, Chippendale. The three sessions will run from 9am-10am, 4pm-5pm and 6pm-7pm.

The City of Sydney is proposing a streetscape upgrade to provide pedestrians and bike riders with a safe and connected green corridor linking Darlington to Ultimo via Chippendale.

Residents, pedestrians, and bike riders will be able to use this inner city link to bypass main roads and enjoy a safer, greener and congestion free trip.

The proposed 1.5 km upgrade includes footpath widening at intersections, tree planting to provide welcome shade, better lighting, new pram ramps, extra crossing points, speed cushions and a 40km/h speed limit.

White Paper: A New Planning System for NSW

The NSW Government has released a white paper on the new planning system for NSW and is inviting community feedback.  Read the White Paper and the Exposure draft legislation online at haveyoursay.nsw.gov.au. Submissions close 28 June 2013.

Kids have their say on Chelsea Street Playground design

Chelsea Street Playground Consultation

As users of our small parks and playgrounds, it's important to hear from local children on what they would like to see. In the consultation process for the upgrade of Chelsea Street Playground, the children from Bourke Street Public School came up with 444 ideas. 

Today, Lord Mayor Clover Moore went back to the school and presented the draft plans to these young designers. A drop-in session for the local residents to have their say on the design plans will be held in May.
